Terms and Conditions

The Animal Welfare League NSW has created this Art Union game to support its work delivering harm prevention, welfare, and rehousing services for animals across NSW. Animal Welfare League NSW (AWL NSW) is a NSW charity, registered with the ACNC (CFN 10416) and authorised by NSW Fair Trading to fundraise (GOCAU/2583). The organiser of this Art Union at AWL NSW is Mr. Stephen Albin.

The total amount for all prizes included in this AWL NSW Art Union No. 1 is $35,490.

Major Prize: Mitsubishi ASX MR $31,490 or $30,000 in cash.

Animal Allies Monthly Prizes: 4 x $1000 Cash (Monthly prizes for ongoing supporters who pay monthly and have signed up to become VIP. This raffle will have 4 VIP draws, drawn on the 7^th of the month during the raffle period (2 x draws on 7^th November 2024 and 2 x draws on 7^th December 2024).

These rules have been adopted by AWL NSW for the conduct of this Art Union. In these conditions the Raﬄe purchaser, contact, or entry holder, is referred to as “you,” and AWL NSW and Insight are referred to as “us,” “we” or “our,” as the context requires.

Entry purchase options: AWL NSW Art Union is open to single-ticket buyers and ongoing supporter buyers.

The main Prize is drawn on 19^th December 2024. The duration of the Art Union is 4 months. Sales start on 21 August 2024 and close on 19 December 2024.

Ticket Sales and Payment: Tickets are sold in bundles. Payments can be made at the time of purchase, on receipt of our invoice, on our websites, or by monthly payments in advance by automatic debit on an agreed date. You may purchase it more than once.

Winner Notiﬁcation: Winners are notiﬁed by phone and Art Union results are published on our websites.

Purchase Options and Payment

Entry Purchase: Entries can be purchased online or during telemarketing, with options starting at $40 for 16 entries. Tickets are sold in bundles: 16 for $40, 20 for $50, 30 for $60, 40 for $80, 50 for $100, 60 for $120, 75 for $150, 200 for $200 and $1 each thereafter. If less than $30 is received for an Art Union entries are $5 each.

Entries into the AWL NSW Raffle can be purchased via My Charity Raffle at mycharityraffle.com.au/awlnsw. Results will also be published on the My Charity Raffle site at mycharityraffle.com.au/winners/.

Payment Methods: Payments can be made by credit/debit card, cheque, cash, direct debit, or digital wallet (including Google Pay or PayPal).

Validation: Entry numbers are validated and sent to you by email or mail after payment or for ongoing purchasers draw entries are allocated before each draw based on the monthly payments received before each draw date Direct Debit, Bpay, and PayTo payments must be received at least one week before the draw date to ensure payment can be completed. If your paid entry cannot be entered in a draw, you will be entered in the next available Raﬄe. AWL NSW accepts no responsibility for late payment or payment not received for any reason.

Ongoing Art Union players are asked to increase monthly payments starting on the anniversary of joining the Art Union. We will notify you in advance and if the suggested increase is not acceptable, please contact us before the next payment occurs.

Payments falling on a weekend or public holiday may be submitted the day prior or the next business day and declined payments are retried within ﬁve days. To ensure you are entered we may seek payment from an alternate payment method where that has been provided to us. Where funds are received as a donation or a minor sum is deemed to be a donation, and the amount is $2 or more, a receipt is issued. AWL NSW holds ATO tax-deductible gift status.

You may purchase entries on more than one occasion, and you may be oﬀered bonus or incentive entries. In the course of any AWL NSW’s fundraising campaign, we may oﬀer you additional entries with an AWL NSW entry purchase on speciﬁc conditions, for example, Trade Promotion lottery rules, to promote an AWL NSW Art Union alone or together with other charity fundraising games. You may be oﬀered entries as an incentive to a purchase or entries may be allocated to you if you are already part of the same group of entrants.

Eligibility

AWL NSW Art Union Entrants must be Australian residents or able to receive prizes in Australia.

Age Requirement: Participants must be over 18. We take care to sell to adults who understand the purchase and can provide payment. We will award the Prize to the selected entrant. Where a purchase is made by a young person, to someone inclined to irresponsible gaming, or to a vulnerable person we will happily refund the entry purchase sum if that person has not been part of the draw. We are unable to make refunds after a draw in the absence of exceptional circumstances.

Winning Conditions: A winner may win each of the prizes in each Art Union’s draws. Draw numbers are not “exhausted” if they win a Prize (i.e. Supporter Club prizes) but are voided at the end of each Art Union.

Prizes and Draw

The prizes in this AWL NSW Art Union are a choice of a Mitsubishi ASX MR, valued at $31,490, or that sum in cash. The AWL NSW Animal Ally members participate in extra monthly draws with a cash Prize of $1,000 conducted on the 7^th of each month during each Art Union.

Draws take place at 2.00 pm on the scheduled date at AWL NSW at Level 3 / 72-80 Cooper Street, SURRY HILLS, NSW, 2010, and interim draws of the Animal Allies prizes are conducted by Insight Holdings Consolidated at Level 3, 72-80 Cooper Street, SURRY HILLS, NSW, 2010. The draws are conducted using a random number generator.

Prize Collection: We will telephone, email, or write to you to conﬁrm that you have won a Prize and how it will be delivered. We will take reasonable measures to locate you and award the Prize. We will ask you for identiﬁcation and ask you politely to promote our work and the Art Union win.

Unclaimed prizes will be notiﬁed on the Art Union website awlnswraﬄe.com.au and a new draw for a new winner conducted 21 days from the date of placing the notice on that website. If we cannot reach you or you do not respond the Prize may be regarded as unclaimed. You have 21 days to claim or collect the Prize or it will be treated as abandoned. Winners should respond to attempts to contact to claim their prizes before the cut-oﬀ date.

You can update your contact and address details by calling 1300 564 049. It is the responsibility of the ticket holder to ensure their details are correct.

All car prices will be supplied new in the most current model available. All cars have automatic transmissions and include delivery and these on-road costs (stamp duty, registration, and compulsory third-party insurance.) (Not included but we recommend that you purchase comprehensive insurance.)

All prizes are subject to availability from the car supplier at the time of the draw. Car prizes are ordered at the start of the lottery and the delivery is subject to availability and delivery constraints beyond our control. The make and model & RRP of the aforementioned car are correct at the time of printing.

Animal Allies – Ongoing Monthly Supporters

The most eﬀective way to play in AWL NSW’s Art Unions and provide ongoing support for our work is to join The AWL NSW Supporter Club. To join, simply accept our invitation on our websites or the phone and start and continue to pay $15, $20, or any other chosen sum each month toward the next occurring draw. You will be in the major draw for each Art Union and be in (four) monthly draws for $1,000 drawn on the 7^th of each month of the Art Union. The Animal Allies club members are allocated entries based on the total amount paid two days before any draw and during the Art Union period. By agreeing to support AWL NSW in this way, you authorise our service providers to automatically debit your payment card or nominated bank account on a nominated basis. You may cancel or amend your support level for your AWL NSW Animal Allies membership at any time before the next payment.

Changes to the Draw

These Art Union conditions that amend or provide for rules outside the mandated rules are subject to change and correction. Please check these conditions from time to time. Signiﬁcant changes will be identiﬁed at www.awlnswraﬄe.com.au

To protect the operators of the Art Union from any cause that may imperil the success of the Art Union, we reserve the right in our absolute discretion to cancel or postpone any draw or the series of draws, to recommence them, and to change the Art Union game including by refunding payments in undrawn Art Unions, changing the Art Union rules, altering the prizes or changing the Art Union draw schedule. Those steps may occur in the event of the interference of an outside agent or event in any manner that adversely impacts or hinders the sales processes, the revenue objectives, or any other part of the conduct of the Raﬄe, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, pandemic, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, atomic war, invasion, or strike. Any change under this clause will be notiﬁed on our Art Union website www.awlnswraﬄe.com.au

Nothing in this clause limits or alters your rights to consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law.

General Terms

Fundraising services are provided for AWL NSW by Insight Holdings Consolidated Pty Ltd. (ACN 111 803 475) Level 3/ 72-80 Cooper Street Surry Hills NSW 2010. Phone:1300 733 757. Art Union management, telemarketing, prizes, advertising, fulﬁlment, merchant fees, additional authorised approved vendors, and other administration costs are paid by Insight Holdings Consolidated which provides net proceeds to AWL NSW of not less than 30%.

Management Restrictions: Our management and staﬀ are not permitted to enter. Paid promotional contractors such as social media inﬂuencers may enter and participate in draws.

Promotional Images: All images used are for promotional purposes only and may not represent the actual Prize described in these conditions.

Funds raised from AWL NSW’s Art Unions support animal welfare work in New South Wales. Banks, mail fulfillment, and other suppliers receive your information to provide services. If you do not provide contact information, we are unable to include you in the draws or provide our services. Data we receive is kept securely in an encrypted form in secured, backed-up servers. Data may be located overseas in passing or in secure servicers located overseas but no major work is conducted from there for more information, please see www.awlnswraﬄe.com.au/privacy-policy.
