Calabro

Calabro At the AWL NSW Veterinary Clinic, every animal’s story begins with expert care and compassion. Thanks to supporters like you, we can give pets in need a second chance—just like Calabro!   From Crisis to Recovery When Calabro arrived in September, he was in critical condition—soaked from the rain, severely dehydrated, hypothermic, and unable to move due to flaccid paralysis. With no clear cause for his condition, our veterinary team provided round-the-clock emergency care, diagnostics, and intensive support to help him recover. After a week, he miraculously regained his ability to walk. Over the next month, he continued to heal in our care—until he was finally strong enough to find a home. A Happy Ending On November 15th, Calabro found his forever family and a new name—Leo. His adopter shared: “He immediately made himself at home, sitting in the office chair instead of hiding. That night, he curled up on my stomach. He’s the smoochiest boy—it was a perfect start.”   You Make Stories Like This Possible Every ticket you buy helps the AWL NSW fund life-saving treatments, medical equipment, and care for animals like Calabro. Hazel

Hazel “Hi there! My name is Hazel and I’m looking for a loving home! At 2 years old, I’m full of energy and excitement, and I’m always up for a good run or a game of fetch. I love sleeping on the lounge and watching tv with my foster family. I’m very affectionate! You might think that I have interesting looking ears… Unfortunately, due to no fault of my own, I had bad fly bites on my ears and to be able to resolve it I had to have the tops of my ears removed. However, this has not stopped me loving life and listening carefully to the sound of the treat jar opening.  I’m a very intelligent and active dog, so I’ll need a family that can keep up with me. I’m still learning how to behave, and I need someone patient who is willing to train me and provide me with the guidance and structure I need to be the best dog I can be.” Your support enables the Animal Welfare League NSW to give dogs like hazel the best chance for a loving home by providing essential services such as desexing, thorough health checks, microchipping, and vaccinations.

Scooby

Scooby “Hi, my name is Scooby and I am a very good boy. I have been told that I am as smart as a GPS in a maze, with more brains than a zombie buffet! I know how to sit, stay, drop (I often drop when I get too excited around new people and dogs). I also know how to “go to bed”, I am crate trained, can heel on lead and am a pack walk extraordinaire. I may look like a ball of energy (which yes, I do like to do zoomies sometimes), however I am an absolute cuddle bug who enjoys being wrapped up in my jacket on a cold night. I will sleep on the bed and keep you warm and may keep you awake too with my snoring (hehe). As a turbocharged tail-wagger, I’m always up for a long walk or play, especially when I have four legged friends to join. I can be left alone all day and will spend my time enjoying the sun through the window. I don’t destroy anything except for my own personal doggy toys.” Your support enables the Animal Welfare League NSW to give dogs like Scooby the best chance for a loving home by providing essential services such as desexing, thorough health checks, microchipping, and vaccinations.
