From Crisis to Recovery

When Calabro arrived in September, he was in critical condition—soaked from the rain, severely dehydrated, hypothermic, and unable to move due to flaccid paralysis. With no clear cause for his condition, our veterinary team provided round-the-clock emergency care, diagnostics, and intensive support to help him recover.

After a week, he miraculously regained his ability to walk. Over the next month, he continued to heal in our care—until he was finally strong enough to find a home.

A Happy Ending

On November 15th, Calabro found his forever family and a new name—Leo. His adopter shared:

“He immediately made himself at home, sitting in the office chair instead of hiding. That night, he curled up on my stomach. He’s the smoochiest boy—it was a perfect start.”
